Eligibility Criteria for TNTET Exam 2018

Eligibility Criteria for Paper I:

  • If you are desired to become Secondary Grade Teacher for Class I to V you should have passed Higher Secondary Course (10+2 Pattern) and Diploma in Teacher Education / Diploma in Elementary Education from recognised institute.
  • If you are appearing applicants in the final year of D.E.Ed for the academic year (2016-17) then you are also eligible to apply for paper I. But during the time of verification, you must produce your documents.
  • Please note that visually impaired candidates are not eligible to write Paper I.

Eligibility Criteria for Paper II:

  • If you have passed a Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. /B.Sc./ B.Litt.) with Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography as major subjects in your Degree course or a Degree with any one of the equivalent subjects from recognized University following the pattern of 10+2+3 and you have a Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized University then you are eligible to apply.
  • The applicants with B.Lit., (Tamil) degree must possess either B.Ed. or D.T.Ed. or TPT.
  • If you are appearing for Final Year Examination of B.Ed, you can also apply for Paper II in Teacher Eligibility Test.

TNTET Exam 2018 Application Fee

  • You can buy an application on the dates mentioned above from the Head Masters of Higher Secondary Schools notified by the Chief Educational Officers by paying them rs 50/- in cash as it will be the cost of application form and prospectus.
  • The Examination Fee for general applicants is Rs.500/- and for reserved categories like SC/ST/ PWD the fee will be Rs. 250/-.
  • You have to pay this fee in any of the branches of the Indian Bank/Indian Overseas Bank / Canara Bank by filling the challan provided with the prospectus. Fee through any other mode will not be accepted.
  • Please take care while filling your OMR application, because there is no other chance of editing the details.

How to fill the Application form for TNTET Exam 2018?

  • First of all please read the full prospectus carefully because all the instructions are provided in that prospectus.
  • Please make sure the details you fill in your form should be true as false information at any level may lead to cancelling your application.
  • Incomplete application forms will not be accepted.
  • Keep in mind that whatever entries you are making in your application form should not be erased, overwritten or shaded with white fluid.
  • You have to paste your recent passport size photograph in the space provided and should not be stapled.
  • Please do not fold your form, it should be submitted in the envelope issued with your prospectus.
  • Please keep a photocopy of the filled-in and signed an application form for future reference.

How to Download Hall Ticket for TNTET Exam 2018?

Hall Tickets have to be downloaded from the official website of Teachers Recruitment Board http://www.trb.tn.nic.in. you must note that no separate hall tickets will be sent by post to anyone, you have to download your admit card.

After downloading your hall ticket you must cross check your details given in the hall ticket. If you find the details incomplete or not reliable then you must complain immediately to the concerned examination authority.
