This exam is state level which is organized every year for the capable applicants of Punjab. This exam is divided into two parts i.e primary Teacher stage and Elementry stage. Eligibility Criteria for PSTET 2018
Required Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V
You should have 2 years of Diploma in Elementry Education or be appearing in final year of Diploma and you should score 50% marks in 12th or its equivalent.
You should pass or be appearing in the final year of 2 yr Diploma in Elementary Education and you should have achieved 45% marks in Senior Secondary (its equivalent).
You should have achieved 50% marks in 12th or its equivalent and passed or appearing in the 4-year bachelor of Elementry Education (B.El.Ed).
You have passed or you are appearing for 2-year Diploma in special Education and you should have achieved 50% marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent.
You should be graduate and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Required Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII:
You should be Graduate and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
You should have achieved 50% marks in Graduation and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
You should have achieved 45% marks in Graduation and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
You should have scored 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Four years B.A/B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.Sc.Ed.
You should be Graduate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Reserved categories, such as SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled will get relaxation of 5% in the qualifying Marks.
If you are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are provisionally admitted and their PSTET Certificate shall be valid only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
