APTET Notification to become Andhra Teacher: Higher Education Board of Andhra Pradesh may announce notification for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 for the recruitment of teachers at Andhra Pradesh Govt. If you desired to become Andhra Teacher for a class I to V and for class VI to VIII and for class IX to X you have to appear for APTET 2018.

If you want to become Andhra Teacher you have to appear for written test which is comprised of Paper-I and Paper-II. You have to fill online application for this entrance test. This exam is state level exam.

APTET Eligibility Criteria to become Andhra Teacher:

APTET Education Qualification for Paper I (Class I to V):

You have to pass Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and also you should pass or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (By Whatever name known).


You must pass Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in last year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)


You must pass Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with 50% marks and passed or appearing in last year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)


You have should be Graduate and passed or appearing in final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education

Please note that if you are a student of reserved category you would be getting relaxation of up to 5% in qualifying marks.

APTET Required education qualification for Paper I (Class VI to VIII)

You should be graduate and passed or appeared in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).


You must be graduate with at least 50% of marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed).


You must have scored 50% in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El.Ed.)


You must score at least 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A Ed./B.Sc. Ed.


You must achieve 50% marks in graduation and passed or appearing in I-year /B. Ed. (Special Education)

NOTE: As per govt norms if you belong to reserved category you will be getting relaxation of up to 5% in qualifying marks

Age Limit for APTET

  • You should be of 18 to 40 years age group then only you can apply for this test.
  • You must check relaxation in age limit, read the official notice carefully.

How to apply for APTET

  • First of all, you have to visit the official website, there you will find the tab Apply Online for APTET 2018.
  • Now register yourself by entering all the required details and fill the Online application form.
  • after that, you have to upload your scanned documents, your latest digital photograph, and your signature.
  • After this you have to pay your fee, you have to pay your fee only through online payment i.e by debit or credit card
  • You may note that before you submit your online application form you have to check that information you have provided should be correct and true as per your knowledge.
  • Then Finally you must submit your form by making a declaration.
  • You will be notified on your screen about the submission of your application form, you should get a print of your application for future purpose.

  • Written exam will be of 100 marks and the question asked will be objective type having four options and you have to choose one correct answer.
  • subjective questions will be asked for 25 marks.
  • General knowledge of high school level, common Hindi questions and questions will be based on your state.

  • The B.Ed program duration is two years, and the eligibility is as below:
  • You need to possess a degree in B.Sc/ BA/ B.Com. (Home Science) /BBA // BBM/ BCA/ from this university or any other UGC courses with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates need to have at least 55% marks (45% for ST/SC candidates) in B.Tech/B.E with Mathematics/Science stream as one of the subjects, or any other qualification which is equivalent will also be eligible to apply for B.Ed.
  • Those candidates who are appearing for final year test can also apply.
  • Candidates need to have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience or substitute teacher in any Primary/Middle/High School which is authorized by Central/ State/ Government/ Union Territory.

Candidates need to be a citizen of India.
