NDA Form 2017 is open now, to appear in NDA entrance exam in 2017.

NDA is the acronym for National Defense Academy. National Defence Academy is located in Kharagwasla in Pune in Maharashtra. It is a premier institute that trains the cadets (Applicants) to get selected for Indian Armed Forces –Indian Army, AIR Force and Naval as officers. The Academy was founded in 1954 to nurture and train young blood to meet the demand of Indian Armed Forces- Army, Navy and Air Force. Applicants for NDA can get admission in the Academy by qualifying popular and reputed national level entrance exam (NDA exam 2017) which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). UPSC NDA exam & Naval Exam is conducted twice every year.

NDA exam 2017 (I) will be held on 23rd April 2017 nd NDA exam 2017 (II)  on 10th September 2017. UPSC has released the notification for the NDA Exam 2017, NDA Form 2017. The authority has released the exam notification for both exams. NDA exam dates for both are summarized in the following table.

Number of Vacancy in NDA

NDA Exam NDA Form 2017 Important Instructions

  • NDA 2017 Application Form will start and submitted by the online process only on the official site of UPSC.
  • The NDA form will be released for  NDA (I) from 18th January 2017 and for NDA (II) from 7th June 2017.
  • All the candidates are suggested to fill the application form very carefully.
  • No change after final submitting the application form will be allowed.
  • Applicants must keep ready the scanned images of photograph & signature in required size and format before filling the application.
  • The closing date of filling the application form for NDA 2017 first exam is 10th February 2017 and for NDA 2017 exam is 30th June 2017.

NDA Exam Application Fee: NDA Form 2017 NDA Exam Fee

  • The NDA Exam Fee for Gen & OBC Applicants is Rs. 100/-.
  • SC/ST Applicants and wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from examination fee.

NDA Eligibility Criteria of NDA Exam 2017 / NDA exam eligibility

NDA Eligibility for this year is same as previous year. Candidates can check eligibility for nda such as Nationality, Educational Qualification, NDA Age limit, Marital Status, and Physical Standard etc from below. Apply only if you meet NDA Eligibility in full.

NDA Eligibility Nationality:

Nationality: Only Male candidates, Indian, Bhutan Nepal, Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962,  a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Marital Status: Only unmarried male applicants are eligible to apply.

NDA eligibility for Age Limit: For NDA & NA( I) Exam: Candidates should have born between 2nd July 1998 and  1st July 2001 (Both dates inclusive) because fulfilling NDA Eligibility Age Criteria.

For NDA & NA(II) Exam: Candidates should have born between 2nd Jan, 19998 and  1st January 2001 (Both dates inclusive)

NDA Exam Educational Qualification / Qualification for NDA exam

For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA (National Defense Academy) and Naval Academy: Candidates must have passed the 12th exam with Physics and Mathematics subjects from any State Board or a University.

Those studying in class 11 do not qualify for NDA Eligibility.

Army Wing of National Defence Academy: 12th pass certificate from any State Board/university. Class 12th appearing students can also appear.

NDA Physical Eligibility: Candidates should be physically and mentally fit.

NDA Exam Pattern

NDA exam is conducted in two parts- A written exam followed by SSB interview.

Number of Papers: There will be two papers- Mathematics  Code 01 and General Ability Test Code  02. Both papers are MCQ type and Negative Marking Scheme will be applied.

Paper 1: Mathematics Code 01: Maximum marks: 300, Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

Paper 2: General Ability Test Code 02: Maximum marks: 600, Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes. this paper is divided into two part A and B.

Part A- English: This part consists of  MCQs to check candidate’s understanding of English such as grammar, vocabulary etc.  The details can be found in NDA Syllabus below.  Maximum marks for part A are 200.

Part B- General knowledge: This part consists of MCQs based on Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Social Studies, General Science,  and Current Events. The details can be found in NDA Syllabus below. Maximum marks for part B are 400.

Interview: Applicants who qualify written test will be called for Interview. The interview will be conducted by SSB (Service Selection Board). Maximum marks for Interview are 900.

Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Each question will have 4 answers. You have to select the correct answer. If in your opinion there are more than one answer for one question then you are suggested to encircle only the best answer.

Language: NDA exam will be conducted in English and Hindi only.

Mode of Exam: Offline means exam will be Pen and Paper based.

NDAExam NDA Form 2017 NDA Preparation Tips for  NDAform 

NDA preparation method must be preplanned well in advance. As it is very competitive exam you must chalk out a winning strategy to crack NDA Exam 2017.  You must read NDA Syllabus thoroughly so that you understand its content well. Include the best study books and NDA previous year question paper in your study materials. To Qualify NDA exam, only written test is not the enough, you should be physically and mentally strong to face the SSB.

NDA 2017 Admit Card

The NDA 2017 Admit Card will be available by UPSC before three weeks from the NDA exam date. Applicants can download the admit card from the official portal of UPSC. There is not any other choice except online to get the admit card. Applicants note down it is compulsory to bring the admit card at the examination center.

NDA Result 2017 NDA Exam Date

The NDA result 2017  will be displayed to students in the month of May 2017 and October 2017. Applicants can check the result thru the official site of UPSC. Applicants are suggested to take a printout of the result and keep it safe till the further selection procedure. NDA 2017 written test result and the final result of selected Applicants will be declared separately. Before the SSB round, written result will be declared. Selected Applicant in written test will be called for further admission process.

 NDA SSB Interview NDA Exam Date

The list of successful candidates in  NDA 2017 Exam will be prepared by combining the marks scored in the written test and SSB interview. The SSB interview round consist of two stages i.e. stage I and stage II. The stage (I) will consist of (Officer Intelligence Rating) OIR and PP & DT (Picture Perception & Description Test). The stage (II) will comprise of Interview, Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks, and the Conference. This test will be organised over 4 or 5 days. The entire exam process will carry 900 marks.

NDA Syllabus

The NDA syllabus 2017 has been designed to test the knowledge of  Mathematics and General Ability Test. The NDA syllabus of General Ability Test will contain objective questions from a different subject such as English, General Knowledge, Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Geography and Current Affairs.
