Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is known as a National Level Entrance Exam that is offered jointly by the 8 central universities together. These universities are Central University of Haryana, Kerala, Punjab, Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Jammu, and Tamil Nadu. This exam is conducted to get admission into the UG Programme, Post Graduate Programme and Research Programme in different educational and professional area respectively in these eight Central Universities above mention. This test comes once every year in the month of June. In this web page, we are providing the detailed information about the CUCET 2017 including important dates, application form, eligibility, and syllabus.

CUCET 2017 Important Dates

CUCET Application Form 2017

  • The application form will be filling only through online mode from the official site of university.
  • There is no mode for the offline application form.
  • The CUCET Application Form 2017 will be available from the first week of April, 2017(It is tentative).
  • The closing date for submission the application will be the first week of May 2017 (tentative).
  • Candidates can payment through online or offline mode.
  • After the submission online application form with online payment, an automated e-mail and SMS will be sent to the candidate mail ID & mobile number.
  • Those candidates thought payment through Challan they have to wait for 1 week after submission of the online application form.
  • Candidates can apply for an individual course for a maximum of the three Participating Universities with a maximum of three options of courses in each of the selected PU.

CUCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

In this web page, we are providing the information about the eligibility criteria to appear CUCET 2017 entrance test. Various universities have produced different eligibility criteria for their different program. Candidates appearing in the final year qualifying exam can also apply.

CUCET 2017 Exam Pattern

  • Question Papers: paper will divide into 2 parts as PART A and PART B.
  • Total number of Questions: The question paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions.
  • PART A will be contained 25 questions.
  • PART B will be consisted 75 MCQs questions and contain in five sections.
  • Each section will have consisted 25 questions.
  • For MBA/MCA/LLB/LLM or any other general course(s), only one paper will be carry which will consist 100 objective types’ questions.
  • Medium: The medium of the question paper will be in English.
  • Duration: be two hours will be given for each paper will.
  • Negative Marking scheme: There will be NO negative marking.

CUCET Syllabus 2017

Each course has different syllabus for CUCET 2017. The syllabus of PG program will be separate for their prescribed courses.

  • Syllabus for UGO 1:

This paper will be consisting two parts: PART A and PART B. PART A contain these subjects Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills subjects. PART B contains these subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

  • Syllabus for UGO 2:

The syllabus will be consisting of the topics of the following disciplines: English, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, General Aptitude, and General Knowledge.

  • Syllabus for M.Phil/Ph.D Research Programme:

The syllabus of M.Phil and/or Ph.D. Research Programme will be comprised as that prescribed for the UGC-CSIR/others NET-JRF Exam.

CUCET 2017 Admit Card

Applicants can download they are admit card from the official website. Admit Card will be issued in the third week of May 2017 (it is tentative). The admit card will be contained of personal details of the candidates such as Name of Candidate, roll number and exam center, date etc.

CUCET 2017 Result

The Results will be declared in the third week of June 2017 (its tentative). CUCET 2017 Result will be announced on the official website. On the basis of the personal performance of the candidate, the merit list will be ready. After the published of the merit list candidate have to attend the counseling round for seat allotment.

CUCET 2017 Counselling

After the declaration of result the counseling process will start. The Counselling process will consist of online. The counseling will be attained only selected candidates. The seat will be allotted on the basis of rank and availability of seats for a particular course.

CUCET Admission Procedure

Admission will be the level of each of these 8 central universities, for their interesting courses. After the result announced, the central universities will release the schedule of admission and merit list on t he weight on the score.

 M.Phil and Ph.D. Programme Admission Procedure:

The admission process includes the written test and interview round that will carry weight of 60% and 40% respectively. Applicants, those qualify NET/JRF/SLET/Teacher Fellowship will be exempted from the written test. In this case, the interview will carry 100% weight. Only shortlisted applicants will be called for the interview.
